It also very much depends on what kind of gaming you want to do. If you want to play the newest 3D games, you will need something completely different (and probably more than 3/4K) compared to playing games that are a couple of years old. Even older (or modern, but not graphics-intensive, games) can be played on old second hand machines that you can probably pick up somewhere for close to free.
I would also suggest you consider cloud gaming (i.e. your game runs somewhere on a server on the internet, and the graphics are streamed to you). I haven’t done the math, but I certainly could imagine you’ll get more gaming for your 3-4K that way, than buying your own machine (especially if you already have a good internet connection).
jesli chce sie poznac na kompach to ma to sens chocaiz. jak chce tylko pograc to imho nie ma to sensu, lepiej kupic konsole + Xbox Now albo PlayNow. Xbox pewnie 1000-1500 za nie ten najlepszy no ale znosny i abo na Game Pass albo alternatywnie PS-world i tyle. no ale ofcoz zalezy w co chcesz @xXpaczkersXx grac 
budget-wise konsola imho jest lepszym rozwiazaniem, chbya ze no sie chce grac w cos co nie jest na konsole to wtedy opcji nie ma.
na studia jak szedlem to kupowalem jakiegos semi-gaming laptopa z dedykowana grafika itp.w tym budzecie to chyba sensownego laptopa sie nie nie znajdzie bo za chwile to i tak bedzie juz zdeklasowane przez PCta jakiegos. zreszta z perspektywy czasu uwazam ze to byl bez sensu zakup. konsola bylaby 100x lepsza wowczas monitor jakis zewnetrzny i tak sie przyda zawsze czy tam tv.

regarding cloud gaming @Claude which service do you consider to be good enough? Stadia was closed as far as I remember as my gaming friend told me. Is nvidia still operating? maybe regarding hardware that nintendo switch nvidia alternative would be great. a friend of mine got it and he really likes it. it has some docking capabilities, so it can work both as a portable as well as stationary gaming center. plus if i remember it’s a linux or linux can be installed there, so it should work for stuff other than gaming.
Nvidia now is still active as far as I can see. Not sure about PLN pricing, but in NL you pay €17/month for 6-months contract on the top-tier, so about 80zl. That means that for 4K you can have more than 4 years. And using a 4080 for rendering you will get a MUCH better experience than what you can buy for 4K PLN. And (afaik) the pice includes the games!|
Obviously there are some downsides vs having your own PC:
- Only the games they license will work
- There is a limit on play time
- After 8 hours of playing, you’ll have to log in again (probably healthy to do something else after 8 hours of gaming ;))
- You will need a good internet connection and (obviously) no offline playing.
- There will be some lag, so it’s probably not the best to play deathmatch against people who play locally.
I just saw that there is even a free tier, so no risk in trying.
(note: I have never used this so I can’t say if it’s any good, but from what I read, it certainly works).
Amazon also has a cloud gaming service.
And I know there are also services that basically let you rent a PC online, and you have to provide the games yourself (just google around, I found a whole list)
And not sure if this is what you were talking about, but indeed the steam deck is not a bad choice either. Cheapest one seems to be less than 2K PLN. I heard many very good stories about that one (but also: it will not play all games out there).
If you do cloud gaming, you will still need something at home to play on, but this could be a cheap-ass second hand laptop, which will also be great to start playing with linux!
Having said that, building your own from second hand parts, especially if you manage to get them cheap (as suggested above), could also work (and then maybe upgrading one or two things); depends on your connections.
quick google and there are some articles to launch some beta Xbox Cloud (did not know there is something like that) on Steam Deck as well as Geforce Now, so I guess at least some major cloud gaming platforms can be used without a PC don’t know if the performance is good though. still imho it’s a solid option.
Performance will be great as long as your connection is good (if it’s not good enough, most likely it can be improved by getting a better wifi router / sitting closer to router / choosing free wifi channels / etc )
